Our Great Location
It is nice to find a comfortable lodge that offers you immediate access to the Madison River — one of the truly great trout fishing rivers in the world. The Old Kirby Place, located on the banks of the Madison River, is 34 miles south of Ennis, Montana and 38 miles north of West Yellowstone, Montana. Here you are in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone world of fly fishing. Within an hour’s drive, you are fishing the waters of Yellowstone National Park, Firehole, Gibbons, Gallatin, Henry’s Fork, Yellowstone, Beaverhead and Ruby Rivers.

The Prime Fishing
Our season extends from June through September. At 6,000 feet elevation, you can look forward to dry, sunny days with temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s then nights cool enough to sleep under a down comforter. The Old Kirby Place sunrises are splendid; our sunsets spectacular. Join us for some of the best trout fishing in the world.
